Spotlight on Auto Alley Shop Hop

by Malena Lott

I’m going to venture a guess that you haven’t shopped in Auto Alley before – the spot around 10th and Broadway that used to literally be an “automobile alley” way back when. It’s okay. Even if you work downtown that doesn’t guarantee you spend your time eating and shopping downtown because we’re overworked, under-socialized creatures of habit. But let’s BRANCH OUT and live a little! My wish for you is for you to attend at least one “Auto Alley Shop Hop” this year, which is the third Thursday of each month. I’ve been “meaning to” all year and last night I was shocked when my teen son said he’d go to see the grand opening of the Energy FC store. (He knew he’d get a shirt, right? And some food? I’ll take what I can get.) So with hubs in tow, we visited the shops, exchanged smiles with strangers and cool folks we know (hey, Tracy and Cassie!) and did some shopping and eating. Shop local. Make a new memory. It’s all good. And it ended with Hideaway Pizza which is even better.

The shopkeepers typically have sales and free stuff that night so check it out and plan for the May one now!

A few of my favorite finds…

My favorite piece was this lounge and the complimentary wine was nice, too.
Side detail on the chaise lounge above. So nice.

Popped in to say hello to the staff @ Accel Staffing. Love their buffalo. They had cookies, but I resisted. Good girl.

As we all should. See you @downtownokc soon!

@ Plenty Mercantile…free beer (yes, please and thank you.) My son would not teeter totter with me. I guess I can understand that.
