Carlton Landing Part 4: Tour of Humphreys’ Lake House

by Malena Lott

Would you like to live by the lake? Grant and Jen Humphreys and their five children live at Carlton Landing at Lake Eufala full time. Their kids attend the local school and the location is close enough to Tulsa and Oklahoma City to visit old friends and attend events in the metro areas.

I caught Jen making lemon poppyseed scones as we arrived at the house (totally unplanned and yes, it was delicious) and you can immediately feel a sense of calm in the modern farmhouse home. The vibe is definitely lakeside chill and magazine spread worthy. Jen’s favorite thing about their house is the kitchen and open floor plan downstairs. Previously the Humphreys had lived in both Heritage Hills (a historic district in OKC) as well as a modern loft downtown, so they have added the flair of both in their lovely lakeside home.

Take the video tour above to see how they incorporated warmth and contemporary furnishings into their space. Have a favorite part? Let us know in comments.

Personally, my favorite fixture was the lights above the farm table and I love how each child gets their own private space in the shared girls’ and boys’ rooms.
