Why go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras when you can stay in your own Sooner Space? Come celebrate Fat Tuesday at the Tulsa Blue Dome District’s Annual Mardi Gras Parade. This event will take place Tuesday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. The parade begins and ends at 1st Street and Elgin Avenue in downtown Tulsa.
After recuperating from the Mardi Gras parade, you can saunter on over to Expo Square for the Greater Tulsa Home and Garden Show. (Be sure and visit Evergreen Landscaping’s booth, too.) With over 500 exhibitors, the Home and Garden Show is sure to offer a little something for everyone. Admission is $8 for adults, and children 12 and under are free. The show runs March 6 (5:00-9:00 p.m.), March 7 & 8 (10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), and March 9 (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Wrapping up the Tulsa-trifecta is the Second Saturday Walking Tour on March 8. Hosted by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, this one-hour walking tour through downtown highlights Tulsa’s unique architecture. The tour originates at Topéca Coffee in the historic Mayo Hotel. The cost is $10 per person and runs from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
