Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready to dance. The legendary Cain’s Ballroom will be the perfect place to try out your two-step and show off your swing at the Annual Bob Wills’ Birthday Celebration. Built in 1924, Cain’s Ballroom is a historic Tulsa icon that has hosted some really cool musicians ranging from Merle Haggard to ZZ Top. Bob Wills, often known as the “King of Western Swing”, made his debut at Cain’s in the 1930’s.
On Saturday, March 1st Cain’s will honor the memory of Wills at his annual birthday bash where Leon Rausch and Tommy Allsup will perform along with special guests the Round Up Boys. Tickets to this show range from $20 to $32. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show, which is perfect for all ages, begins at 7:00. Oklahoma Joe’s Bar-B-Cue will be serving their full menu from 6-9 p.m. So come on down and celebrate at one of Tulsa’s beloved Sooner Spaces – Cain’s Ballroom.
